CASUAL CONVERSATION

Frying dandelions

For the trade of a few oyster shells.
Man will sell and sell and sell.

Until there are no more oyster shells.

Then we study every aspect
To see if we can find a suspect.

What made this major mysterious impact

most often we conclude
the oyster was another species' food.

We walk the white line
on borrowed time
on asphalt streams
in cooperative dream.

Kill the dandelions
read the flashing signs.

Drink the proper wine

The real lion is lying.
The planet is dying.
And we are complying.
