KNOW YOUR WINGS

Sometimes at dawn
On mornings after dreams of gliding
I spread my wings
And taste the moments as they're hiding

Somewhere back in time
The salt air breezes memories to mind
And I get lost in dreams of sun and haze
And drift on waves of simpler days

Somehow lost until a smile
Places all those memories in a pile
And I can feel the sun upon my face
Once again I've found a forgotten place

Somewhere just beyond my reach
We can go walking along the beach
And although each step takes me further away
I know that I'll be back again someday
